***UPDATE*** Killeen, TX (May 29th, 2026):Killeen Police Charge 47-Year-Old with Murder

The Killeen Police Department’s Robbery/Homicide Unit reviewed this case with the Bell County District Attorney’s Office. A Complaint and Affidavit were presented to Justice of the Peace Gregory Johnson on May 6th, 2026, and an Arrest Warrant for Murder was issued on 47-Year-Old Charlie Leon Waldon. On May 14th, 2026 Waldon was located in Pittsburg County Oklahoma and placed under arrest by the Pittsburg County Sheriffs Office. Waldon was arrested at the jail as he was attempting to bail out his girlfriend. Waldon is awaiting extradition back to Bell County.

Detectives with the Criminal Investigation Division’s Robbery-Homicide Unit continue to actively investigate this case.

Killeen, TX (March 12, 2026): The Killeen Police Department is actively investigating a shooting that resulted in one deceased victim.
On Thursday, March 12, 2026, at approximately 9:12 a.m., officers responded to the 1700 block of N. Gray Street in reference to a 911 call reporting a male suffering from a gunshot wound. Upon arrival, officers located an unconscious male outside of a residence. Killeen EMS responded to the scene and confirmed the male showed no signs of life.
Justice of the Peace Gregory Johnson pronounced the victim, 37-year-old Christopher Gillespey, deceased at 9:25 a.m. and ordered an autopsy to be performed at the Southwest Institute of Forensic Sciences.
The preliminary investigation indicates the victim was inside his residence when he was shot and exited the home, where he collapsed outside.
The Killeen Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division, Robbery-Homicide Unit, is actively investigating this case. Detectives are asking residents and businesses in the area to review their surveillance cameras for any individuals in the vicinity around the time of the shooting.

Killeen Police Investigate Shooting in 5800 block of Siltstone Lp

On May 25, 2026, at approximately 11:58 p.m., officers with the Killeen Police Department responded to a shooting investigation in the 5800 block of Siltstone Loop.

Preliminary investigation revealed that an unknown suspect fired shots into a residence where a party was taking place. Three individuals sustained minor injuries believed to be caused by ricocheting gunfire. All three individuals refused medical treatment from Killeen EMS at the scene.

When officers arrived, they encountered numerous individuals at the location who were uncooperative with the investigation. At this time, the incident appears to be isolated and targeted toward the residence. No suspects have been identified.

Detectives are asking anyone in the area with surveillance or camera footage related to the incident to submit it using the attached QR code.

NEWS RELEASE: KILLEEN POLICE INVESTIGATE THE MURDER OF A 21-YEAR-OLD MALE ON 18th ST

Killeen, TX (April 30, 2026): The Killeen Police Department is actively investigating a shooting that resulted in the death of a 21-year-old male.

On Thursday, April 30, 2026, at approximately 5:07 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 1100 Block of 18th Street in reference to a gunshot victim. Upon arrival, officers located an unconscious male in a vehicle suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported to Darnall Army Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries. The victim was pronounced deceased by Justice of the Peace James at 5:49PM.

The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

It was reported a gunshot was heard and the victim’s vehicle was then seen crashing into a fence. An unknown male was seen running in the area on foot.

Killeen, TX (September 25, 2025): The Killeen Police Department identified a suspect in this case as Yannie Kelvin Chishimba. On 09/24/25, the KPD Robbery/Homicide Unit was notified by the Texas Department of Public Safety they located a vehicle on the side of US Highway 190 in Lampasas County. Mr. Chishimba was located inside the vehicle deceased. After further investigation, it was revealed Mr. Chishimba died as a result of suicide.

No other information will be released at this time.

Killeen, TX (September 23, 2025): The Killeen Police Department is actively investigating the death of a 23-year-old following a shooting incident.

On Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at approximately 1:42 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Laura Drive in reference to a shooting victim. Upon arrival, officers discovered a male victim deceased from a gunshot wound inside his residence.

The victim, Jaquarious Fenn, was pronounced deceased at 4:40 a.m. by Justice of the Peace Gregory Johnson. He ordered an autopsy to be performed at the Southwest Institute of Forensic Sciences.

The preliminary investigation revealed the victim was inside the home with the suspect when he was shot. The suspect fled the scene after the shooting. This is an ongoing investigation. This is an isolated incident.

NEWS RELEASE: KILLEEN POLICE INVESTIGATE A SHOOTING ON WEST HALLMARK AVE

Killeen, TX (June 21st, 2025): The Killeen Police Department is actively investigating a shooting resulting in two victims.


On Saturday, June 21st, 2025, at approximately 12:46 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 700 block of West Hallmark Ave in reference to a shooting victim. Upon arrival, officers discovered two male victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Killeen Fire Department EMS responded and rendered aid. A 21-year-old male victim was transported by ambulance to Baylor Scott & White in good condition. An 18-year-old male victim was transported by Ambulance to Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center and later transported to Baylor Scott and White Hospital where he is currently in critical condition.


The preliminary investigation reveals that the victims were standing outside the business talking and socializing with two other males. A black male with a mask over his face, wearing all dark clothing was seen entering the parking lot on foot and he started to shoot multiple times. The suspect then got into a dark colored sedan and fled.


The Killeen Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division, Robbery-Homicide Unit, is actively investigating. Detectives are asking residents and businesses in the area to review their surveillance cameras for any individuals in the vicinity around the time of the shooting. KILLEEN POLICE INVESTIGATE A SHOOTING OF A 15-YEAR-OLD ON SHOEMAKER DR

Killeen TX (October 31st, 2024): On Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at 8:18 PM, officers were dispatched to a residence in the 1700 Block of Shoemaker Dr in reference to a call for a gunshot victim. Officers arrived on scene and located a 15-year-old juvenile female suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers provided first aid until paramedics arrived. The victim was transported by helicopter to Baylor Scott and White Hospital in Temple, TX. The victim is in serious but stable condition.


Detectives with the Robbery/Homicide Unit are asking anyone who may have information on this shooting, or if they have videos or security footage of these areas, to contact the Criminal Investigation Division at 254-501-8830.

Killeen, TX (September 24, 2024): Detectives with the Criminal Investigation Division have identified the victim as 22-year-old Dirkshawn Bryan JR .

Killeen, TX (September 22, 2024): Detectives with the Criminal Investigation Division are investigating the death of an adult male.


On Sunday, September 22, 2024, at approximately 12:39 a.m., officers responded to a shots fired in the 2200 block of Wheeler Avenue. Upon the officers’ arrival, they located a 22-year-old male suffering from gunshot wounds in the roadway. Officers began to perform lifesaving measures until paramedics arrived. Unfortunately, the victim succumbed to his injuries

The victim was pronounced deceased by Justice of the Peace Nicola James at 12:48 a.m. She ordered an autopsy to be performed at the Southwestern Institute of Forensic Sciences in Dallas.


The name of the victim has been withheld pending notification of next of kin.


There is no threat to the community related to this incident.

Detectives with the Robbery-Homicide Unit are actively investigating this Homicide and there is no additional information at this time.

The Killeen Police Department Robbery-Homicide Unit is asking for your help identifying a suspect in multiple Aggravated Robberies of a Business on September 22, 2024

Killeen, TX (September 24th, 2024)
The Killeen Police Department Robbery-Homicide Unit is requesting the public’s help in identifying a suspect involved in two aggravated robberies that occurred on September 22, 2024.


Around 8:58 PM, officers were dispatched to a business located at 3400 Florence Rd. A black male suspect entered the business, displayed a silver-black semi-automatic handgun, and demanded cash. The suspect is described as slender built, approximately 6’00” to 6’02” in height, weighing between 150 and 180 pounds. He was wearing black pants with red, white, and blue stripes down the sides, a black hooded sweatshirt, and black slide-style slippers. He also wore a blue medical mask, with possible facial hair visible beneath it. The suspect stole an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing on foot.
Approximately 7 minutes later, the same suspect committed a second robbery at a business located at 100 E Hallmark Ave. The suspect again brandished a handgun and demanded cash and other items before fleeing the scene in a red or burgundy SUV, possibly a Chevrolet

Video surveillance from both locations confirms the same individual is responsible for both robberies.

UPDATE NEWS RELEASE: KILLEEN POLICE CHARGES 24-YEAR-OLD MALE WITH BURGLARY OF MOTOR VEHICLE

Killeen, TX (September 15th, 2024): On August 30th, 2024, Detectives with the Criminal Investigation Division identified a suspect and obtained an Arrest Warrant charging 24-Year-Old Dimani Phillip Gaddis with Burglary of a Motor Vehicle. An arrest warrant was issued by Justice of the Peace Nicola James.

Gaddis was arrested on August 30th, 2024, by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force of the U.S. Marshal’s office and taken to the Killeen City Jail. Justice of the Peace Cliff Coleman arraigned Gaddis and set his bond at $5,000. Gaddis was transported to the Bell County Jail.

The Killeen Police Department would like to thank the Community for sharing videos and assisting with the identification of this suspect.

Killeen, TX (August 27, 2024): Detectives with the Robbery/Homicide Unit would like to speak with a person seen burglarizing multiple vehicles in the area of a Murder on August 25th, 2024. 

On August 25th, 2024, Officers took multiple Burglary of Motor Vehicle reports in the areas of Old FM 440 and Andover Dr.  Officers obtained videos of a male burglarizing vehicles in the area of the murder while holding a handgun. 

The male appears to be a Hispanic Male with black hair, shaved on the sides by the ears down the shoulders in the back. He is seen wearing a gray color shirt with a white pattern, possibly a bird, on the front. The male is wearing a black pants and white shoes. The male appears to have tattoos on both arms.

Subsequently, on Sunday, August 25th, 2024, around 4:33 a.m., Killeen Police Officers responded to the 2300 block of Andover Dr. in reference to a shots fired call.  While in route, dispatchers informed officers of an accident that occurred in the 1000 block of Westover Dr.  Upon the officers’ arrival, they located an unconscious female victim inside a crashed vehicle suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.  The female succumbed to her injuries on scene.

Killeen, TX (August 5, 2024): Detectives with the Criminal Investigation are investigating the death of one male.

On Sunday, August 4, 2024, at approximately 7:27 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 400 block of Gemini Lane in reference to a shooting victim. Upon the officers’ arrival they located a 19-year-old male victim, subsequently identified as Keman S. Greenidge, suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers began life-saving measures until paramedics arrived, and Greenidge was air lifted to Baylor Scott and White Hospital in Temple, Texas, where he succumbed to his injuries. He was pronounced deceased by Justice of the Peace Keith Reed at 10:28 p.m.

Detectives have identified a person of interest, who is an associate of the victim.

There is no current threat to the community.
