Killeen Joins National Night Out 2026
Killeen, TX (October 5, 2026): The Killeen Police Department will join communities nationwide in celebrating National Night Out on Tuesday, October 6, 2026.
This annual crime prevention event promotes neighborhood involvement, strengthens police-community partnerships, and encourages residents to take an active role in keeping their communities safe.
This year, Killeen will host 20 neighborhood block parties throughout the city. Residents are encouraged to spend the evening outdoors with neighbors and first responders while participating in activities such as block parties, cookouts, contests, and youth programs.
Registered neighborhoods will receive visits from members of the Killeen Police Department, Killeen Fire Department, and McGruff the Crime Dog.
National Night Out activities will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
See the attached list and map for participating locations.
“National Night Out is a great opportunity to strengthen neighborhood unity and build relationships between our officers and the community,” said Chief Pedro Lopez. “We encourage everyone to come out, meet their neighbors, and join us for an evening focused on community and public safety.”
