Killeen Police are asking for help identifying two males from an afternoon Robbery at a Dollar General Store.
Officers responded to the Dollar General Store located at 1303 E. Rancier on Friday, October 24, 2014, just after 4:00pm, after learning that a black male had just stolen a customer’s purse with force and caused injury to the victim.
After viewing surveillance video from the store, detectives saw that the suspect and another black male were walking around the store for a short time then left. Moments later the suspect wearing the gray shirt and khaki pants went back inside the store as the other male wearing a striped shirt waited in front of the store. The suspect then walked towards the back of the store and robbed the elderly female of her purse and fled on foot. Other customers who were in the store at the time gave chase but the suspect was able to flee the area on foot.

KPD Asking For Help Identifying Forgery Suspect
The Killeen Police Department is asking for the community’s help identifying a Forgery suspect.
On October 3, 2014, a representative from the National Bank entered the police department and notified officers that a check that was issued by the Copperas Cove ISD had been altered. The representative advised the name on the check had been changed and the amount had been altered from $7,300 to $2,602. She advised that on October 1, 2014, a Hispanic male entered the bank and presented the check. The name on the check read Juan Francisco Adame, when the male was asked for identification he produced an ID that read Juan Adame. The check was cashed but later found to be forged by the suspect in the photograph.

Killeen Police Need Your Help Identifying a Jewelry Bandit
Killeen Police need your assistance identifying a man who stole a ring from a local jewelry store in Killeen.
Officers responded to a theft that had just occurred at the Pagel & Sons Jewelers located at 2102 S. W. S. Young Drive on Friday, October 31, 2014, at 12:42pm. As they were enroute to the business they were told that a light skinned black male wearing a black shirt, white pants and carrying a white plastic bag was last seen running west away from the store. The officers searched the area and at one point observed a male fitting the description of the suspect in a 2100 block of Manor Dr. The suspect saw the officers and was able to flee before they could take him into custody. The suspect jumped a privacy fence near the apartments in the 1600 block of Grandon Dr. and was able to elude his capture.
The employees inside the store advised the suspect entered the store and was talking on his cell phone while he was walking around the store. The employees advised the suspect started looking at the wedding rings and asked to see one set then another. At that point the suspect grabbed the ring and ran out the door. The manager gave chase and the employees called 911.
The cost of the ring was valued at more than $5,000.

Killeen Police Seek Man Wanted for Robbing Golden Corral
Killeen man wanted for robbing Golden Corral in Killeen, on October 22, 2014.

Officers responded to the Golden Corral located at 1420 E. Central Texas Expressway at 10:15pm, after receiving an alarm and a 911 call telling them the business had just been robbed. Upon the officers arrival they met with the manager who told them a Hispanic male had just robbed him at gunpoint.
The manager told officers that he was walking an employee out into the parking lot when he saw a former employee in the parking lot. The three began to talk until the current employee left. The former employee then showed the manager a handgun and forced him back inside the business. Once inside he forced the manager back to the office and made him open the safe. Another employee was inside the office at the time and he had her lay down onto the floor. The suspect then tied up the manager and employee using cords from the surveillance equipment and fled in one of the employee’s vehicle; that vehicle was later found abandoned in the 2900 block of Illinois.
The detectives had this case reviewed by the Bell County District Attorney’s Office and a complaint was returned charging Orlando Enrique Fleischlauer, also known as Orlando Pabon-Fleischauer, with Aggravated Robbery. A warrant was issued by Justice of the Peace Garland Potvin for his arrest.

Killeen Police Investigate a Homicide at a Caprock Drive residence on Friday evening
UPDATE: November 10, 2014
The deceased male has been identified as 50 year old Terry Linn Bass from Killeen. The manner of death has not been determined at this time as the detectives are awaiting the autopsy results.
This death continues to be investigated and information will be released as it becomes available.
Killeen Police investigate a Homicide at a Caprock Drive residence on Friday evening.
Killeen police responded to 1708 Caprock Drive on Friday, November 07, 2014 at 8:30pm, after a female contacted the department and told them she was unable to open her garage door and felt it was suspicious in nature. Upon their arrival, the officers checked the outside of the residence and found an open back door. Once inside, they located an unresponsive 49 year old male that appeared to have been shot. Justice of the Peace Bill Cooke pronounced the victim deceased at 9:34pm and ordered an autopsy to be performed at the Southwest Institute of Forensic Sciences in Dallas.
The name of the victim has been withheld pending the notification of his next of kin.

DEA & KPD Seize Large Amount of Spice
The Federal Drug Enforcement Agency and the Killeen Police Department worked together to seize a large amount of Spice in Copperas Cove.
Agents with the Drug Enforcement Agency and members of the Killeen Police Department’s Organized Crime Unit executed a federal search warrant on Monday, November 3, 2014 at the Cove Smoke Shack located at 314 E. Avenue D. This warrant stemmed from a lengthy investigation into this business selling synthetic marijuana also known as K2 or Spice.
During the execution of the search warrant the agents detained and later arrested Richard Bruce Jr. charging him with Possession of a Controlled Substance; he was transported to the Killeen City Jail. The agents recovered just under $20,000 cash and 3964.74 grams (3 kilos) of Spice which has a street value of approximately $40,000.
On Tuesday, November 4, 2014, Richard Bruce Jr. was transported to Waco and released to the United States Marshals and arraigned in federal court by a United States Magistrate. Bruce has been released after posting bond.
This case continues to be investigated and information will be released as it becomes available.

KPD Investigates a Fatal Crash on 195
Killeen Police investigate a fatal crash on 195.
Officers responded to a 911 call telling them of a crash involving a truck and a motorcycle at the intersection of S. Highway 195 and Triple 7 Trail at 9:34pm on Friday, October 31, 2014.
The preliminary investigation revealed that a 44 year old male, riding a 2014 black Harley Davidson motorcycle, was traveling northbound on inside lane of S. Highway 195 when a 20 year old male, driving a 2006 gray GMC truck, turned eastbound across the northbound lanes of S. Highway 195 at Triple 7 Trail causing the motorcycle to collide with the right side of the truck.
The rider of the motorcycle Jerome Martin III, of Round Rock, was pronounced deceased at 10:10pm by Justice of the Peace Garland Potvin at the scene. He has ordered an autopsy to be performed at the Southwest Institute of Forensic Science in Dallas.
The driver of the motorcycle was wearing his helmet; there were no injuries to the occupants of the truck.
The Traffic Unit continues to investigate this crash and more information will be released as it becomes available.
