Killeen Police Identify Murder Victim
Killeen, TX (November 24, 2021): The victim has been identified as 18-year-old Dominic Nicholson.
Detectives are actively investigating this Murder and there is no additional information at this time.

Killeen, TX (November 15, 2021): Killeen Police are actively investigating the seventeenth Murder in the City of Killeen.
On Monday, November 15, 2021, at approximately 1:41 p.m., Killeen Police received a 911 call in reference to a male with an apparent stab wound in the 600 block of W. Hallmark Avenue. Upon the officer’s arrival, they located a male suffering from a gunshot wound. He was immediately transported to the Carl R. Darnall Medical Center in critical condition.
The preliminary investigation revealed that the victim and the suspect were in the parking lot of the apartment complex, when the suspect fired a gunshot at the victim. The victim was able to get away and seek help.
The victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased by Justice of the Peace Gregory Johnson at 4:03 p.m. He ordered an autopsy to be performed at the Southwestern Institute of Forensic Sciences in Dallas.

Killeen Police Investigate a Murder on Hallmark
Killeen, TX (November 15, 2021): Killeen Police are actively investigating the seventeenth Murder in the City of Killeen.

NEWS RELEASE: KILLEEN POLICE INVESTIGATE FATAL CRASH ON STATE HIGHWAY 195
On November 14, 2021, at approximately 4:06 a.m., Officers were dispatched to the 16900 block of State Highway 195 in reference to a fatality crash. Upon arrival, officers located a deceased male in the center median area of SH 195.
Traffic investigators responded and the preliminary investigation revealed that a grey 2005 Infiniti G35 was disabled in the outside lane of northbound SH 195, north of the Lampasas River overpass. The driver of that disabled vehicle is believed to have exited and was standing near the vehicle in the roadway. A grey 2011 Hyundai Sonata was traveling northbound in the outside lane of SH 195 where it collided with the disabled vehicle and the pedestrian that was standing next to that vehicle. After the initial impact, the grey Hyundai crossed over the center median and came to a rest facing north in the southbound lanes of SH 195.
The pedestrian, 24-year-old Brandon William Cepeda, was pronounced deceased on scene at 5:10 a.m. by Justice of the Peace Bill Cooke.
The driver of the grey Hyundai was transported to Baylor Scott and White Hospital in Temple with what are believed to be non life-threatening injuries.

Killeen Police Identifies Murder Victim and Suspect
Killeen, TX (November 10, 2021): The victim has been identified as James Matthew Moten.
Through the investigation, it was determined that the victim and the suspect, his son, were involved in a domestic disturbance when the suspect produced a knife and assaulted his father. When the officers arrived and entered the residence, they located the victim deceased and the suspect suffering from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The suspect, Javeon Rondre Moten, succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased by Justice of the Peace Cliff Coleman at 9:46 p.m. on Tuesday, November 9, 2021. He ordered an autopsy to be performed at the Southwestern Institute of Forensic Sciences in Dallas.
This is the sixteenth Murder for the City of Killeen in 2021.
The investigation is ongoing and at this time no other information will be released.

Killeen, TX (November 9, 2021) Killeen Police are investigating the death of a 47-year-old male.
On Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at approximately 2:11 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 400 block of Sladecek Drive in reference to a stabbing victim. Upon the officer’s arrival, they located one male suffering from a stab wound and was pronounced deceased at 2:53 p.m. by Justice of the Peace Bill Cooke at the scene. A second male, 18-year-old, was located suffering from a gunshot wound and he was immediately transported to the Carl R. Darnall Medical Center in critical condition.
Detectives with the Homicide Unit continue to investigate this incident and there is no other information at this time.

Killeen Police Conduct a Death Investigation on Sladecek
Killeen, TX (November 9, 2021) Killeen Police are investigating the death of a 47-year-old male.

Killeen Police Arrests Murder Suspect
Killeen, TX (November 8, 2021): Through the investigation, detectives with the Homicide Unit, determined that the victim and the suspect were involved in a verbal altercation, when the suspect displayed a handgun and discharged it towards the victim. The victim then pulled out a handgun and discharged it towards the suspect, striking him.
On Wednesday, November 3, 2021, the case was presented to the Bell County District Attorney’s Office and on Thursday, November 4, 2021, a complaint for Murder was returned charging, 43-year-old Perry Tyshawn Davis, with Murder and a warrant was obtained.
On Friday, November 5, 2021, at approximately 6:38 p.m., members of the United States Marshal Service-Lone Star Fugitive Task Force with the assistance from the Killeen Police Department K9 Unit and Tactical Response Unit, located Davis in the 1300 block of Powder River Drive and placed him under arrest without incident. He was transported to the Bell County Jail.

The second male is still listed in stable condition.
This is the fifteenth Murder for the City of Killeen in 2021.

Killeen, TX (October 31, 2021): Killeen Police are investigating the death of the 39-year-old male victim.
On Sunday, October 31, 2021, at approximately 2:34 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of Middleton Street to a shots fired call. Upon the officers’ arrival, they located two male victims suffering from gunshot wounds.
The preliminary investigation revealed that the two men were inside the residence when a verbal altercation ensued. During the altercation, both men displayed a handgun and fired shots towards each other.
One male victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene by Justice of the Peace Bill Cooke at 3:29 a.m. He ordered an autopsy to be performed at the Southwestern Institute of Forensic Sciences in Dallas. The name of the victim has been withheld pending notification of next of kin.
The second male victim, a 43-year- old, was transported to Baylor Scott and White in Temple and is currently in stable condition.
The investigation is ongoing and there is no other information at this time.
