Killeen Police Apprehend Austin Murder Suspect

Killeen, TX (June 24, 2021): 19-year-old De’Ondre Jermirris White has been located and is currently in the Killeen City Jail.

On Thursday, June 24, 2021, at approximately 2:23 p.m., members of the United States Marshals Service – Lone Star Fugitive Task Force and with the assistance from the Killeen Police Department Specialized Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team, located De’Ondre Jermirris White in the 1300 block of Anna Lee Drive. White was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Killeen City Jail. He awaits arraignment on an arrest warrant for Murder in reference to the mass shooting that occurred in Austin, TX on June 12, 2021.

“The tragic incident that occurred in Austin on June 12th received nationwide attention and we are happy to report that the murder suspect is in custody. We would like to thank the US Marshals Service and our SWAT team for their dedication and persistence to help close a chapter in this investigation. We are glad to work with dedicated professionals that are committed to keep our communities safe regardless of boundaries. This case covered multiple jurisdictions and together we were able to locate and take into custody a violent fugitive,” stated Chief Charles Kimble.

Killeen Police Seeks Fugitive for False Report to A Peace Officer

Killeen, TX (June 21, 2021): Killeen Police seek the assistance from the public in locating a 48-year-old female fugitive.

Detectives with the Criminal Investigation Division, General Crimes Unit, are looking for Jamie Nickole Armour. On May 20, 2021, Armour filed a theft report that had occurred in the 3200 block of Blackburn Drive. She advised that a known person took some property without her permission. Through the investigation it was determined that Jamie Nickole Armour fabricated the information she reported to the patrol officers to benefit her in what should have been a civil case.

Jamie Nickole Armour is described a black female with brown hair and eyes. She weighs approximately 138 pounds and is 4’11” in height.

The Killeen Police Department would like to remind our citizens that knowingly making a false statement that is material to a criminal investigation and make a statement to a peace officer or federal special investigator conducting the investigation, or to any employee of a law enforcement agency that is authorized by the agency to conduct the investigation or to a corrections officer or jailer is punishable by a fine up to $2,000, confinement in jail up to 180 days or both.

NEWS RELEASE: Killeen Police Investigate a Major Crash on Rancier

Killeen, TX (June 19, 2021): One person is deceased after a two- vehicle collision.

On Saturday, June 19, 2021, at approximately 9:35 am, officers were dispatched to a 911 call in reference to a major crash in the 1300 block of E Rancier Avenue. Upon the officers arrival, they located a grey Toyota Corolla and a white Ford F-250 pick up truck had collided head on.

The four occupants of the Toyota were all transported in critical condition. The male driver was transported to Baylor Scott & White. The front female passenger and one rear male passenger were transported to the Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center; however, the male was subsequently airlifted to Baylor Scott & White. A second rear passenger, a 16-year-old male juvenile was transported to McLane’s Children’s Hospital.

The preliminary investigation revealed that the Toyota was traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes of travel on Rancier Avenue and collided with the Ford in the inside lanes.

The occupants of the Ford reported minor injuries. They were treated and released on scene.

The female passenger, 35-year-old Omaris Gonzalez, succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital by medical personnel.

Traffic Investigators are actively investigating this fatality and there is no additional information at this time.

Killeen Police Investigate Seventh Criminal Homicide

UPDATE NEWS RELEASE: KILLEEN POLICE INVESTIGATE SEVENTH CRIMINAL HOMICIDE

Killeen, TX (June 14, 2021): The preliminary results from the medical examiner resulted that the cause of death was a homicide.

The identity of the victim is pending DNA results, which may take some time to confirm.

The investigation is ongoing and there is no other information at this time.

NEWS RELEASE: KILLEEN POLICE CONDUCT A DEATH INVESTIGATION

Killeen, TX (June 1, 2021): On Monday, May 31, 2021, at approximately 4:24 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 600 block of Adams Avenue in reference to a suspicious circumstances call.

Upon the officers’ arrival, they located a deceased body in the backyard of a residence. Officers were unable to locate any identification and the body was sent to the Southwestern Institute of Forensic Sciences in Dallas. The identity is pending the results from the medical examiner.

Killeen Police Investigate a Motorcycle Fatality on State Highway 195

Killeen, TX (June 13, 2021): A 21-year-old male is deceased from a crash involving a motorcycle and a vehicle on State Highway 195.

On Saturday, June 12, 2021, at approximately 4:43 p.m., officers were dispatched to the area of 12200 State Highway 195 in reference to a 911 call about a motorcycle accident. Upon the officers’ arrival, they located the male operator of the motorcycle lying in the roadway.

The preliminary investigation revealed that the operator of the motorcycle was traveling northbound in the inside lane on SH-195. A white Chevrolet 3500 pickup truck was stopped at a stop sign and proceed to cross the intersection when both the motorcycle and truck collided. The operator of the motorcycle was wearing a helmet.

The operator of the motorcycle, Cullen McKay Beeson, succumbed to his injuries and pronounced deceased at the scene by Justice of the Peace Bill Cooke at 5:10 p.m.

Investigators with the Traffic Unit are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash and did not get a chance to speak to officers at the scene, to please contact the Killeen Police Traffic Section at (254) 501-8800.

This fatality continues to be investigated and there is no additional information at this time.

Killeen Police Investigate a Murder on Avenue B

Killeen, TX (June 11, 2021): A deceased male was found lying on the side of the road in the 200 block of West Avenue B.

On Friday, June 11, 2021, at approximately 2:06 a.m., a Killeen Police officer was patrolling the area of N. College Street and W. Avenue A when he was waved down by a citizen. The officer came to a stop in the 200 block of Avenue B and noticed a black male lying in the grassy area on the side of the roadway. The officer immediately started to perform life saving measures until paramedics arrived.

The victim, 60-year-old Darryl Glen Williams, was pronounced deceased at the scene by Justice of the Peace Bill Cooke at 3:14 a.m.  He ordered an autopsy to be performed at the Southwestern Institute of Forensic Sciences in Dallas.

NEWS RELEASE: KILLEEN POLICE INVESTIGATE A MURDER ON 42ND STREET

Killeen, TX (June 8, 2021): A 38-year-old male is deceased after being shot at a residence in the 300 block of S. 42nd Street.

Officers with the Killeen Police Department were dispatched on Monday, June 7, 2021, at approximately 12:34 p.m., to the 300 block of S. 42nd Street in reference to shots fired. Upon the officers’ arrival, they located a male suffering from a gunshot wound. He was immediately transported to the Carl R. Darnall Medical Center in critical condition.

The preliminary investigation revealed that the victim and the suspect were in a domestic altercation when the suspect produced a handgun and fired at the victim.

The victim, Anthony House, succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at 2:08 p.m. by Justice of the Peace Bill Cooke. He ordered an autopsy to be performed at the Southwest Institute of Forensic Sciences in Dallas.

Through the investigation, one person was identified and detained at the scene. The suspect is awaiting formal charges from the Bell County District Attorney’s Office.


This makes the fifth criminal homicide in Killeen.

Killeen Police Identify Deceased Female Victim

Killeen, TX (June 9, 2021): The name of the female victim is 54-year-old Ronda Kaye Mack.

This death investigation is ongoing and at this time no other information will be released.

NEWS RELEASE: KILLEEN POLICE INVESTIGATE A DEATH INVESTIGATION ON RAINBOW CIRCLE

Killeen, TX (June 8, 2021): A body was found lying under a tree in the 4800 block of Rainbow Circle.

Killeen Police were dispatched on Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at approximately 9:33 a.m., in reference to a possibly deceased body on Rainbow Circle. Upon the officer’s arrival, they located a female in some plastic bags covering a portion of her body. Killeen Paramedics arrived to provide first aid and found no signs of life. Justice of the Peace Bill Cooke pronounced the victim deceased at 10:50 a.m. and ordered an autopsy to be performed at the Southwestern Institute of Forensic Sciences in Dallas. At this time there is no indication of foul play pending the results from the autopsy.

The name of the victim has been withheld pending notification next of kin.

There is no imminent danger to the area.
