The Killeen Police Department Arrest Suspect in an Aggravated Robbery of a Business.

Killeen, TX (June 28th, 2024) On June 25th, 2024, around 2:48PM, the Killeen Police Department responded to an Aggravated Robbery at a business in the 900 block of S Ft Hood St. It was reported a black male wearing a black shirt with a “Rick and Morty” logo came in with two handguns and pointed them at the employee and demanded money. The suspect put the money in a blue bag and then demanded cigarettes and liquor before fleeing the business on foot.


Killeen Police Patrol Officers, K9, Community Engagement Unit (CEU), Violent Crimes Action Team (VCAT), and Organized Crime Unit saturated the area and located a black male with a “Rick and Morty” shirt and a blue bag walking in the area of the robbery and they initiated a contact with him. The male dropped the blue bag after grabbing something out of it and took off running on foot. Officers were able to catch the suspect and place him under arrest. In the blue bag the suspect dropped, was stolen property from the business. Two guns were located along the path the suspect ran.

The suspect was interviewed by Detectives with the Robbery/Homicide Unit and confessed to committing the robbery.

This robbery case was reviewed by the Bell County District Attorney’s Office and they issued a Complaint for Aggravated Robbery on Shaquille Ahmad Willis. Bell County Associate District Judge Randy Dale arraigned Willis and issued him a $100,000 bond. Willis was transferred to the Bell County Jail.

The investigation is ongoing and there is no additional information at this time.

Killeen Police Department Makes Arrest in Family Dollar Robbery

Killeen, TX (June 7th, 2024): On Wednesday, May 29th, 2024, around 10:00AM, Officers were dispatched to the Family Dollar located in the 2300 block of W Stan Schlueter Loop in reference to a report of a robbery. When they arrived, the victim stated that a male entered the store, pointed a firearm at them, and demanded money from the safe. The suspect then fled from the business.

The Killeen Police Department Patrol Division along with the CID Robbery/Homicide Unit responded to the area an obtained evidence and surveillance video. Images of the suspect were released to the public on May 29th, 2024.

The Killeen Police Department Robbery/Homicide Unit identified a suspect in this case.  On June 4th, 2024, a search warrant was conducted on the residence of the suspect, who fled out the back door upon police arrival.  With assistance from the Violent Crimes Action Team (VCAT), K9 Unit, and a KPD Patrol Drone, the male was apprehended after he jumped the fence into a neighbor’s yard.  Evidence from the robbery was located inside the suspect residence.  The male was transported to the Killeen City Jail on 15 unrelated City of Killeen Municipal Court Arrest Warrants.  The robbery case was reviewed by the Bell County District Attorney’s Office, and they issued a Complaint and Affidavit for Robbery on 32-year-old Ronald Truman Conway.  Conway was arraigned by Judge Randy Dale who issued a bond of $75,000. Conway was transferred to the Bell County Jail.

Killeen Police Make Multiple Arrests for Aggravated Kidnapping and Aggravated Assault after Men Targeted for Using an Online Dating App. 

Killeen, TX (June 5th, 2024): A 17-year-old male is currently in Bell County Jail for Aggravated Robbery and Aggravated Kidnapping. Two 16-year-old males and one 15-year-old male were also arrested and transported to the Juvenile Detention Center.


On June 2nd, 2024, around 2:02AM, a Killeen Police Officer was conducting an area check in the area of Hallmark Ave and Wolf St. He observed multiple males in the middle of the street and one male franticly waved the officer down as the other males fled the scene, with three running from the area and the 17-year-old male trying to enter a house before he was stopped by the officer. The 17-year-old male was pulling a mask off of his head as he walked away from the officer.


The victim advised he was using a dating app called Grindr to meet other men and was lured to an address nearby. The victim advised he was confronted by four unknown males with shotguns and handguns who demanded some of his property. The suspects then struck the victim with at least one of the guns and walked him to his own car and said they were going to take him somewhere. The victim advised this is when he observed the officer in the area and waved him down.


Multiple officers responded to the area. A Police K9 and a Drone were utilized, and the three juveniles were located hiding inside a storage shed with a handgun and a bb gun that looked like a shotgun.


The case was reviewed by the Bell County District Attorney’s Office and a complaint was issued charging Dusty Andrew Bailey Jr with Aggravated Kidnapping and Aggravated Robbery. Judge Randy Dale arraigned Bailey and set his bond for each charge at $300,000 for a total of $600,000. The three juveniles were also taken to the Bell County Juvenile Detention Center and charged with Aggravated Kidnapping and Aggravated Robbery. The juveniles’ names will not be released.

The Killeen Police Department Robbery/Homicide Unit is investigating other similar incidents in the same area. We ask anyone who has not reported a similar incident, to please contact the Killeen Police Department and report it.

The investigation is ongoing and at this time no other information will be released.

Killeen Police Department Investigates a Robbery of a Business

The Killeen Police Department Robbery-Homicide Unit is asking for your help identifying a suspect in an Aggravated Robbery of a Business.

On April 24th, 2024, around 1:14AM, the Killeen Police Department responded to an Aggravated Robbery at a business in the 2100 block of S WS Young Dr. It was reported a male entered the business, displayed a large knife/machete type weapon, and demanded property and cash. The suspect fled the business on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash and property. No injuries were reported.

The victim described the suspect as a black male, approximately 25 to 30 years old with a skinny build.  The suspect had longer hair sticking out of his hood and a purple facemask.  He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with white stars and stripes on the front and the number 08 with stripes on the back.   The suspect was wearing dark shorts and white shoes.

The Killeen Police Department General Investigations Unit is asking for your help identifying multiple suspects in a Robbery Attempt.

Killeen, TX (April 4th, 2024): On April 2nd, 2024, around 6:34PM, the Killeen Police Department responded to a shooting at a residence in the 1300 block of Dugger Cir.  It was reported two (2) males knocked on the victim’s door and demanded property.  The victim refused to allow the suspects in and closed the door.  One of the suspects fired a gun into the door and both suspects fled the scene on foot.  No injuries were reported. 

Suspect 1: Black Male, heavy-set, darker skin complexion, wearing a gray in color hooded sweatshirt. Gray, black, and white camouflage pants, white Crocs with no socks, and a black face mask over lower portion of face.  Suspect 1 appeared to be holding a black in color semi-automatic handgun.

Suspect 2: B/M, slender build, wearing black sweatpants, light colored (white or pink) hooded sweatshirt, black shoes.

Killeen PD Arrests Three from an Aggravated Robbery of a Business

Killeen, TX (February 21, 2024):Detectives with the Criminal Investigations Division Robbery-Homicide Unit identified three suspects in the Aggravated Robbery of a Business from January 16th, 2024 in the 5800 block of S. WS Young Dr. Detectives reviewed the case with the Bell County District Attorney’s Office and three complaints for Aggravated Robbery were issued for the following:

Dezmond Anderson (24 Years Old)
Jaquention Simmons Powell (34 Years Old)
Christopher Simpson (21 Years Old)

Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Aggravated Robbery on all three subjects, which were issued by Justice of the Peace Gregory Johnson.

On January 31st, 2024, Dezmond Anderson was already in the Bell County Jail on unrelated charges and his warrant was served. Justice of the Peace Keith Reid set Andersons bond at $100,000.

On February 20th, 2024, Jaquention Simmons Powell and Christoper Simpson were arrested without incident at their residence. Both were taken to the Bell County Jail and arraigned by Justice of the Peace Keith Ried. Simmons Powell’s bond was set at $150, 000. Simpson’s bond was set at $150, 000.

Killeen Police make an arrest in a 2022 Murder Case

Killeen, TX (January 26, 2024): A 38-year-old male is currently in jail for the Murder of Joe Sidney Williams.

On June 24, 2022, Officers were dispatched at approximately 2:50 a.m. to the 1800 block of N. 4th Street in reference to a gunshot victim. Upon the officers’ arrival, they located 55-year-old Joe Sidney Williams suffering from a gunshot wound, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

On January 19, 2024, Detectives with the Criminal Investigation Division Robbery-Homicide Unit received a complaint for Murder charging Demetris Tyrone Prier, to which Justice of the Peace Gregory Johnson issued an arrest warrant for. Prier was located in the Bell County Jail on unrelated charges. Justice of the Peace Keith Reed arraigned Prier and set his bond at $500,000.

NEWS RELEASE: KILLEEN POLICE INVESTIGATE THE FIFTEENTH MURDER FOR 2022

Killeen, TX (October 6, 2022): Killeen Police are actively investigating the Murder of a 55-year-old male.
On June 24, 2022, Officers with the Killeen Police Department were dispatched at approximately 2:50 a.m. to the 1800 block of N. 4th Street in reference to a gunshot victim. Upon the officers’ arrival, they located one victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers immediately started to perform life saving measures until paramedics arrived. He was transported to Baylor Scott and White in Temple.

The victim, Joe Sidney Williams Junior succumbed to his injuries on August 3, 2022, and was pronounced deceased at the hospital by Justice of the Peace Theodore Duffield. He ordered an autopsy to be performed at the Southwestern Institute of Forensic Sciences in Dallas.

Detectives with the Robbery-Homicide Unit received the final autopsy, and it was determined that the death of the victim was ruled Murder.
