Killeen Police Arrest Robbery Suspect
Killeen, TX (December 8, 2022): Detectives with the Criminal Investigation Division are actively investigating a robbery of an individual.
On Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at approximately 1:55 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Lions Club Park located at 1700 E Stan Schlueter Loop in reference a 911 call about a robbery that had just occurred, and the victim’s vehicle was stolen. Upon the officers’ arrival, they located a 64-year-old female victim in the parking lot suffering from minor injuries. Killeen paramedics treated and released her on scene.
At approximately 2:39 p.m., a 911 call was placed in reference to a male suspect who attempted to take two different vehicles in the parking lot of the Cefco Convenience Store located at 3309 S. Ft Hood Road. The victims were able to fight off the suspect, who got back into the original stolen vehicle and fled. Officers located the suspect in the stolen vehicle at the stop light of Stan Schlueter Loop and Oak Valley Drive. Officers conducted a traffic stop and when the suspect exited the vehicle, he fled on foot. Officers were able to apprehend and place him under arrest.
This case was reviewed by the Bell County District Attorney’s Office and a complaint was returned charging 34-year-old Tommy Dyneil Black III with Robbery of an Individual and Evading Arrest on Foot. He was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Bill Cooke who set his bonds totaling $105,000.
The investigation is ongoing and at this time no other information will be released.
