KILLEEN POLICE INVESTIGATE SHOOTING

Killeen, TX (October 8, 2021): Detectives with the Killeen Police Department Violent Crimes Unit are investigating a shooting at Conder Park.  

On October 7, 2021, around 6:38 p.m., Killeen Police Officers were dispatched to Conder Park located at 810 Conder St. in reference to a shooting victim.  Officers arrived at Conder Park and located a crime scene, but all involved parties fled the scene prior to their arrival. 

Another call was received regarding a gunshot victim near Ft. Hood St. and Veterans Memorial Blvd.  Responding Officers located a female victim with a gunshot wound to her shoulder.  The female was transported by ambulance to Scott and White Hospital in Temple where she was treated and released.  Witnesses reported an altercation occurred at the park and shots were fired.  All parties left and the victim’s vehicle was involved in a traffic accident on Veterans Memorial Blvd near Ft. Hood St.  Killeen Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit is actively investigating this case and will provide any updates.
