KPD Conducting a Death Investigation
The Killeen Police Department responded to a report of an unresponsive male at the 1600 block of E. Veteran’s Memorial Blvd., on Saturday, November 2, 2019, at 11:09 a.m.
Officers arrived and were told a citizen was walking nearby when they saw a male lying on the ground. After discovering the male was injured and unresponsive, the citizen notified the Fire Department.
The male victim was pronounced deceased by Justice of the Peace Bill Cooke at 11:30 a.m. and an autopsy was ordered to be performed at the Southwestern Institute of Forensic Sciences in Dallas. Detectives are conducting a death investigation at this time and the cause of death will be determined once the autopsy results have returned.
The victim was identified as 33 year old, Maikol Abdiel Colon.

The Criminal Investigation Division, Homicide Unit, continue to investigate this Homicide and information will be released as it becomes available.
