Killeen Police Arrest Murder Suspect

UPDATE
On Saturday, June 9, 2018 at approximately 2:44 p.m. officers were dispatched to the 2800 block of Phoenix Drive after receiving a 911 call about a possible cardiac victim who was not breathing. Upon the officers’ arrival they located a non-responsive, 29 year-old female suffering from multiple stab wounds. Justice of the Peace Claudia Brown pronounced the female deceased at 3:20 p.m. and ordered an autopsy to be performed at the Southwestern Institute of Forensic Sciences in Dallas.
Since that time, Detectives of the Homicide Unit have followed numerous leads and continued to investigate this case. Through their investigation, detectives were able to identify the suspect in this Murder. This case was reviewed by the Bell County District Attorney’s Office and on Friday, November 09, 2018 and a complaint was returned charging 28 year-old Marcia Jadonna Burchett with Murder. Burchett was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Bill Cooke, who set her bond at $1,000,000 for the Murder, and an additional $100,000 for an unrelated Injury to a Child charge. Burchett was transported to the Bell County Jail.
