Killeen Police Department Issues Correction Involving Forgery Suspects

On June 13, 2017, the Killeen Police Department released suspect information for a series of check forgeries by different suspects that occurred April 29-30, 2017, inside the HEB Store at 1101 W. Stan Schlueter Loop.  That request for assistance from the public contained erroneous information.  Through continued investigation, our detectives determined that the video and photographs that were provided to the police department depicting a black female, black male and Hispanic female together at the counter were from a legitimate transaction, not the forgery case.  Those three individuals are not considered suspects in this case.

The other suspects described in the original release, who were involved in separate transactions, are still being sought by detectives.

The Killeen Police Department would like to apologize for any inconvenience the error may have caused.
