The Killeen Police Department Investigates Burglary at Shoemaker High School

On June 9, 2017, at about 3:31 a.m., Killeen Police responded to Shoemaker High School located at 3302 Clear Creek Road regarding a burglary in progress.  Officers arrived on scene and the suspects fled before a perimeter could be established.  Possibly three suspects fled on foot and were not located.   A fourth suspect fled in a vehicle.  Officers attempted to stop the vehicle and a pursuit ensued.  Officers ended the pursuit by disabling the vehicle with spike strips.  The driver of the vehicle was arrested near the intersection of Martin Luther King Blvd. and Malibu Ln.

Inside the vehicle, officers discovered a handgun and suspected stolen property from Killeen ISD and Temple ISD.  The driver is identified as 29 year-old Giovanni Lane.

The Killeen Police Department Burglary Unit continues to investigate this burglary, working closely with Killeen ISD Police and Temple Police.  Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
