KPD Investigate a Home Invasion

Killeen Police investigate a late night Home Invasion/Shooting.

Killeen Police were dispatched to a 911 call in reference to a Burglary of a Habitation in progress on Tuesday, March 14, 2017, at 11:20 p.m., in the 200 block of Mary Jane Street.  Upon the officers’ arrival, the resident told them that an unknown person attempted to force entry into the residence.

The preliminary investigation revealed that the resident was inside the residence, when he heard loud banging and glass shattering.  As suspects attempted to enter the home, the resident fired several shots towards the door, which caused the suspect(s) to flee the area.  A short time later, investigation led to multiple suspects who were taken into custody.  One suspect with a gunshot wound is currently hospitalized, and is listed in critical but stable condition.  No other injuries were reported. Three additional suspects are currently in the Killeen City Jail pending charges.
