KPD Investigates Murder at the Summerfield Mobile Home Park
Killeen Police are investigating a Murder at the Summerfield Mobile Home Park.
Officers responded to a 911 call in reference to a stabbing at the Summerfield Mobile Home Park located at 6100 E. Rancier Avenue at 7:39pm, on Friday, March 3, 2017. Upon the officers’ arrival, they found a male victim with a stab wound; he was immediately transported to Seton Medical Center Harker Heights. Witnesses told officers that the victim and the suspect were in a verbal altercation that became physical. At some point during the altercation, the suspect stabbed the victim.
The victim, 23 year old Daniel Scott Daulton, succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased by medical personnel at 8:20pm; an autopsy has been ordered to be performed at the Southwestern Instituted of Forensic Sciences in Dallas by Justice of the Peace Claudia Brown.
Through the investigation detectives were able to identify the person responsible for this murder. The case was reviewed by the Bell County District Attorney’s Office and a complaint was returned charging 53 year old, Danny Lee Daulton with Murder; Justice of the Peace Claudia Brown set his bond at $150,000. Daulton is currently in the Bell County Jail.
