Killeen Police Conduct a Shooting Investigation

Killeen, TX (May 8, 2023): Detectives with the Criminal Investigation Division are investigating a shooting that occurred on Gray Street.

On Sunday, May 7, 2023, officers were dispatched to the 600 block of North Gray Street at approximately 7:42 p.m., in reference to a gunshot victim. Upon the officers’ arrival, they located a male suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim, 38-year-old male, succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at 8:37 p.m. by Justice of the Peace Gregory Johnson.

The name of the victim has been withheld pending notification of next of kin.

One arrest has been made.
