Killeen Police Investigate the Hit and Run Fatality of a 39-year-old Female

Killeen, TX (December 5, 2022): Killeen Police are actively investigating a Hit and Run of a 39-year-old female.

On Sunday, December 4, 2022, at approximately 9:58 p.m., officers were dispatched to a 911 call in reference to a automobile vs pedestrian crash at S. Ft. Hood Road Street and West Lane.  Upon the officers’ arrival, they located a female suffering from serious injuries.  Officers started to perform life saving measures until paramedics arrived. 

The victim, Latasha Suzanna Brenda Wright, succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene by Justice of the Peace Gregory Johnson at 10:43 p.m.

The suspect driver fled the scene in a light-colored pickup prior to the officers’ arrival. No arrests have been made at this time.

Detectives are actively investigating this Hit and Run and there is no additional information at this time.
