Killeen Police Conduct Death Investigation

Killeen, TX (December 22, 2021): Killeen Police are investigating the death of Killeen man.

On December 21, 2021, at approximately 7:30 p.m., Officers responded to the 1700 block of Windward Drive in regard to a disturbance and an unresponsive subject.  Upon arrival, Officers located an unresponsive 44-year-old male in the residence.  The subject was transported to Seaton Medical Center in Harker Heights where he succumbed.

Justice of the Peace Bill Cooke pronounced the subject deceased at 9:53 p.m.  Judge Cook also ordered an autopsy to be performed at the Southwest Institute of Forensic Sciences.

The decedent in this case is identified as Carl Fischer, 44.  Preliminary investigation indicates that Fischer became unresponsive during a domestic disturbance with other members of the household.  There is no apparent cause of death at this time.
