Killeen Police Arrests Murder Suspect
Killeen, TX (November 8, 2021): Through the investigation, detectives with the Homicide Unit, determined that the victim and the suspect were involved in a verbal altercation, when the suspect displayed a handgun and discharged it towards the victim. The victim then pulled out a handgun and discharged it towards the suspect, striking him.
On Wednesday, November 3, 2021, the case was presented to the Bell County District Attorney’s Office and on Thursday, November 4, 2021, a complaint for Murder was returned charging, 43-year-old Perry Tyshawn Davis, with Murder and a warrant was obtained.
On Friday, November 5, 2021, at approximately 6:38 p.m., members of the United States Marshal Service-Lone Star Fugitive Task Force with the assistance from the Killeen Police Department K9 Unit and Tactical Response Unit, located Davis in the 1300 block of Powder River Drive and placed him under arrest without incident. He was transported to the Bell County Jail.

UPDATE NEWS RELEASE: KILLEEN POLICE IDENTIFIES MURDER VICTIM
Killeen, TX (November 2, 2021): The victim has been identified as Jhirmack Wartell Brown.
The second male is still listed in stable condition.
This is the fifteenth Murder for the City of Killeen in 2021.
The investigation is ongoing and there is no other information at this time.

NEWS RELEASE: KILLEEN POLICE CONDUCTS A DEATH INVESTIGATION
Killeen, TX (October 31, 2021): Killeen Police are investigating the death of the 39-year-old male victim.
On Sunday, October 31, 2021, at approximately 2:34 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of Middleton Street to a shots fired call. Upon the officers’ arrival, they located two male victims suffering from gunshot wounds.
The preliminary investigation revealed that the two men were inside the residence when a verbal altercation ensued. During the altercation, both men displayed a handgun and fired shots towards each other.
One male victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene by Justice of the Peace Bill Cooke at 3:29 a.m. He ordered an autopsy to be performed at the Southwestern Institute of Forensic Sciences in Dallas. The name of the victim has been withheld pending notification of next of kin.
The second male victim, a 43-year- old, was transported to Baylor Scott and White in Temple and is currently in stable condition.
The investigation is ongoing and there is no other information at this time.
