Killeen Police Investigate a Homicide on Old FM 440

Officers were dispatched to the 3900 block of Old FM 440 Road on Wednesday, October 30, 2019, at approximately 9:50 p.m. after receiving a 911 call about a shooting victim.  Upon the officers’ arrival, they located a male lying in the parking lot suffering from a gunshot wound.  Officers’ immediately started to perform life saving measures until paramedics arrived.  The victim was transported to the Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center in critical condition.

The 19 year-old male victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at 11:10 p.m. by Justice of the Peace Bill Cooke.  He ordered an autopsy to be performed at the Southwestern Institute of Forensic Sciences in Dallas.

The victim’s name has been withheld pending the notification of his next of kin.

The Killeen Police Department Homicide Unit continues to investigate this incident and information will be released as it becomes available.
