Killeen Police Investigate a Late Night Shooting
On Sunday, April 7, 2019, at approximately 11:45 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 3200 block of Longview Drive in reference to a 911 call about a shooting victim. Upon the officers’ arrival they located a 15 year-old male victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. The victim was immediately transported to the Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center, and subsequently transported to Baylor Scott & White in critical but stable condition.
Through the investigation, several suspects were identified by witnesses at the scene. Detectives with the Criminal Investigation Division located the suspects and they were taken into custody. Charges and suspect identification are pending a review of the case by the Bell County District Attorney’s Office.
