Bank Robber in Custody
UPDATE – March 2, 2019
In a joint investigation with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Killeen Police Department Violent Crimes Unit, the suspect was identified. The suspect was located in rural Bell County and with the assistance of the FBI and the Bell County Sheriff’s Department SWAT Team, the suspect was arrested without incident early this morning. The suspect is in custody and pending arraignment. Further information will be released as it becomes available.
The Killeen Police Department would like to thank everyone involved for their assistance in quickly identifying this suspect.
Killeen Police Investigate a Bank Robbery.
On Friday, March 1, 2019, at approximately 12:56 p.m., Killeen Police received a 911 call in reference to a bank robbery at the 1stNational Bank located at 4304 E. Central Texas Expressway.
Officers’ were told that a male entered the bank, approached the teller and presented a note demanding money. The teller complied and the suspect fled in a black pick-up truck in an unknown direction.
The suspect is described as a white male in his 50’s, approximately 5’6”-5”8” tall and weighing approximately 150 pounds with a mustache and goatee. He was last seen wearing a black coat with a plaid scarf, a multi-color shirt, black pants and a black ball cap.
