Killeen Police are investigating a Hit and Run Crash

On Saturday, April 7, 2018, at approximately 2:50 p.m., officers were dispatched to the intersection of Stan Schlueter Loop and Trimmier Road in reference to a 911 call about a crash.  Upon the officers’ arrival, they were told that a second vehicle involved had fled the scene.

The preliminary investigation revealed, that a maroon Chevy Cobalt was traveling westbound in the outside lane on Stan Schlueter Loop, when a white Sedan traveling eastbound in the center turning lane, failed to yield turning left northbound onto Trimmier Road, struck the Cobalt.  The impact caused the Cobalt to spin out and hit a traffic light pole.  The occupants of the Cobalt were transported to Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Temple in serious condition; as of today, both have been released from the hospital.

The suspect vehicle, a white sedan, has been located.

The Killeen Police Department Traffic Unit would like to thank everyone who assisted with this investigation.
