KPD Identifies Deceased Male from Maggie Drive Shooting

UPDATE – The deceased male has been identified as 52 year-old Robert Marshall Blunt.

This case continues to be investigated and information will be released as it becomes available.  

Killeen Police investigate an afternoon shooting on Maggie Drive.

On Wednesday, February 7, 2018, at approximately 12:56 p.m., officers’ were dispatched to the 4400 block of Maggie Drive in reference to a 911 call about a shooting.  Upon the officers’ arrival, they were told two males, the homeowner and an acquaintance, were involved in a verbal alteration that became physical.  During the altercation, one of the males was shot. The gunshot victim was transported to Metroplex Hospital.

The victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased by Justice of the Peace Bill Cooke at 4:10 p.m.

The victim’s name has been withheld pending the notification of his next of kin.

This case continues to be investigated and information will be released as it becomes available.
