Killeen Police are Requesting the Community’s Assistance Locating a Wanted Man
On Friday, December 01, 2017, detectives with the Criminal Investigation Division, Special Missions Unit, were notified that a wanted fugitive with an outstanding warrant was traveling in a silver Chevy Impala.
At approximately 4:00 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on the Chevy Impala, at the intersection of Trimmier Road and Atlas Avenue. The female driver stopped the vehicle and stepped out, when the male passenger jumped into the driver seat and sped off with an 18 month old infant in the backseat. The male suspect led officers on a short pursuit towards Safari Drive, when he stopped the vehicle and fled on foot.
The suspect is identified as Deon Clay, a 26 year-old black male. Clay was last seen wearing a black shirt, blue jeans and dark colored shoes.
Do not attempt to apprehend this wanted person yourself, as he is considered ARMED and DANGEROUS!
The female driver was released on scene and the infant was not injured.
