KPD Looking for a Person of Interest
Detectives with the Criminal Investigation Division Homicide Unit would like to speak to Shamar Lamar Lewis, a person of interest, regarding the Capitol Murder that occurred at the Morgan Manor Apartments during the evening hours of Tuesday, March 7, 2017.
Officers responded to 1506 Bundrant Drive, at 8:08 p.m., after receiving a 911 call in reference to a robbery. Upon the officers’ arrival, they located a male victim lying on the ground, unconscious and not breathing; he was transported to Seton Medical Center Harker Heights. The victim succumbed to his injuries and Justice of the Peace Bill Cooke pronounced the victim deceased at 10:07 p.m. Officers revealed that the victim was in the parking lot of the Morgan Manor Apartments, when he was approached by three (3) or four (4) individuals. During the verbal altercation, the suspects robbed the victim and brutally attacked him, causing multiple injuries; the unidentified suspects fled the area in an unknown vehicle.
Through the investigation, detectives determined that Shamar Lamar Lewis, also known as “Savage”, was at the parking lot during this incident. Shamar is wanted for another felony warrant; do not attempt to apprehend this wanted person as he is considered ARMED and DANGEROUS!
SHAMAR LAMAR LEWIS IS A 17 YEAR OLD BLACK MALE WHO IS 5’7” TALL AND WEIGHS APPROXIMATELY 120 POUNDS AND HAS BLACK HAIR AND BROWN EYES.
