Pursuit Ends with Arrest

Killeen Police arrest a wanted subject following a pursuit.

On January 4, 2017, detectives with the Special Investigation Division were conducting an active investigation on a wanted person in the area of N. Gray Street.  Detectives located the subject, just after 3:00PM, driving a U-Haul pickup truck and attempted to stop the vehicle. When the vehicle refused to stop a pursuit ensued. During the chase the suspect attempted to lose officers by speeding through 2 school zones, the pursuit was called off each time the suspect entered the school zone, as a safety precaution for the children and community members in the area. The truck was located, parked in the 300 block of Hoover. The suspect was arrested in the 1600 block of N. Gray Street and transported to the Killeen City Jail.

This case continues to be investigated by detectives therefore the name of the suspect is being withheld at this time. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
