KPD Investigates Murder on Gilmer
Killeen Police are investigating an early morning shooting on Gilmer Street.
Officers responded to the 420 Gilmer Street at 3:22am, on Tuesday, April 21, 2015, after receiving numerous 911 calls of shots being fired. Upon the officers’ arrival they located several people with gunshot wounds; two females were pronounced deceased at the scene and the other three, two males and one female, were transported to Metroplex Hospital and Baylor Scott and White Hospital.
The names of the deceased females have been withheld at this time due to next of kin notification.
Through the investigation detectives were able to identify the person responsible for this shooting. The case was reviewed by the Bell County District Attorney’s Office and a complaint was returned charging 35 year old, Rico Doyle with Murder and Justice of the Peace Bill Cooke issued a warrant for his arrest.
