KPD Is Asking For Assistance Identifying Robber

Killeen Police are asking for help identifying two males from an afternoon Robbery at a Dollar General Store.

Officers responded to the Dollar General Store located at 1303 E. Rancier on Friday, October 24, 2014, just after 4:00pm, after learning that a black male had just stolen a customer’s purse with force and caused injury to the victim.

After viewing surveillance video from the store, detectives saw that the suspect and another black male were walking around the store for a short time then left. Moments later the suspect wearing the gray shirt and khaki pants went back inside the store as the other male wearing a striped shirt waited in front of the store.  The suspect then walked towards the back of the store and robbed the elderly female of her purse and fled on foot.  Other customers who were in the store at the time gave chase but the suspect was able to flee the area on foot.

Detectives are asking anyone who can identify either male to contact Crime Stoppers at 526-TIPS (8477) or go online at www.bellcountycrimestoppers.com or text BELLCO along with your tip to 274637.  Text HELP to 274637 for help with the tip or text STOP to 274637 to stop the tip, message and data rates may apply.  If your tip leads to the arrest of the suspects who were involved in the crime, you could be eligible for a reward up to $1,000 in cash.  All information is confidential and anonymous.
