Killeen Police Investigate Motorcycle Fatality Crash on State Highway 195
UPDATE (October 15, 2025): Killeen Police identify the deceased motorcyclist as 21-year-old Amani Jovan Keo, of Harker Heights. This crash remains under investigation.
Killeen, TX (October 14, 2025): Killeen Police are investigating the death of a motorcyclist who struck a vehicle.
On October 14, 2025 at about 6:48 a.m., Killeen Police were responded to the 10700 blk of S Ft Hood St. (SH 195) in reference to a vehicle crash. Upon arrival initial officers discovered that a motorcycle and a pickup truck had been involved in a collision. The Traffic Unit was contacted and responded to the scene.
Preliminary investigation indicates that a red 2004 Ford pickup was traveling southbound on Ft. Hood St. after leaving Splawn Ranch Rd. A black 2007 Honda motorcycle was traveling southbound at a very high rate of speed. Witnesses reported the rider attempted to engage in a race with another motorcycle. The motorcycle then struck the rear of the pickup while both were traveling southbound in the inside lane. The rider of the Honda, a 21-year-old male, was thrown to the shoulder of the roadway and was pronounced deceased on scene by Justice of the Peace Nicola James at 7:41 a.m.
A second motorcycle, a red 2024 Kawasaki, was also traveling southbound while in the outside lane and collided with debris from the initial crash, causing a secondary one-vehicle crash. The driver was treated at the scene for minor injuries by Killeen Fire Department paramedics.
The investigation is on-going and no further information is available for release at this time.

Killeen Police Investigate Fatal Crash on Twin Creek
Killeen, TX (November 17, 2024): Killeen Police Traffic Unit investigates fatality crash involving 20-year-old Fort Cavasos soldier.
Update: Although originally called in at the Blu Print Lounge, the incident occurred outside in the parking lot shared by Blu Print Lounge and Spadez Club. The Blu Print Lounge was closed at the time.
On November 17, 2024 at 4:53 a.m., Killeen Police Officers were dispatched to a report of a fight with weapons at the BluPrint Lounge, 4505 E Veterans Memorial Blvd. Upon arrival, one of the suspects fled the scene in a red 2017 Chevrolet Camaro and was briefly pursued by a Killeen PD Patrol Unit.
A short time later the officer located the suspect vehicle after it left the roadway and crashed in the 100 block of S Twin Creek Dr. Preliminary investigation indicates that the vehicle left the roadway, striking a utility pole and jumping over the railroad tracks.
The driver of the vehicle, a 20-year-old member of the US Army, stationed at Fort Cavasos, was pronounced deceased at the scene by Justice of the Peace James at 5:30 a.m.
The crash caused the closure of Twin Creek Dr and the railroad tracks as well. Closures are still active at this time, and expected to continue throughout the morning.
The Traffic Unit and CID General Investigations Detectives continue to investigate this crash. Anyone with information concerning this incident should contact the Killeen Police Department at 254-501-8830.

The Killeen Police Department Robbery-Homicide Unit is asking for your help identifying a suspect in multiple Aggravated Robberies of a Business on September 22, 2024
Killeen, TX (September 24th, 2024)
The Killeen Police Department Robbery-Homicide Unit is requesting the public’s help in identifying a suspect involved in two aggravated robberies that occurred on September 22, 2024.
Around 8:58 PM, officers were dispatched to a business located at 3400 Florence Rd. A black male suspect entered the business, displayed a silver-black semi-automatic handgun, and demanded cash. The suspect is described as slender built, approximately 6’00” to 6’02” in height, weighing between 150 and 180 pounds. He was wearing black pants with red, white, and blue stripes down the sides, a black hooded sweatshirt, and black slide-style slippers. He also wore a blue medical mask, with possible facial hair visible beneath it. The suspect stole an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing on foot.
Approximately 7 minutes later, the same suspect committed a second robbery at a business located at 100 E Hallmark Ave. The suspect again brandished a handgun and demanded cash and other items before fleeing the scene in a red or burgundy SUV, possibly a Chevrolet
.
Video surveillance from both locations confirms the same individual is responsible for both robberies.

Killeen Police Investigate Pedestrian Fatality on Clear Creek Road
Killeen, TX (September 4, 2024): Killeen Police are investigating the death of a pedestrian who was struck while crossing Clear Creek Road.
On September 3rd, 2024, at approximately 8:50 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 3900 block of South Clear Creek Road in reference to a vehicle crash involving a pedestrian. Upon the officer’s arrival, they located a 38-year-old male in roadway with severe injuries.
The pedestrian succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased on scene by Justice of the Peace Gregory Johnson. He is identified as Adrian Dominguez.
The preliminary investigation revealed that the pedestrian was crossing South Clear Creek Road west to east. When a red 2018 Acura sedan, traveling south on Clear Creek Road in the inside lane struck the pedestrian.
No further information will be released at this time.

Killeen, TX (July 8, 2024): UPDATE – Investigators from the Killeen Police Department Traffic Unit have identified the driver as Thomas Lee Feathers Jr.

NEWS RELEASE: KILLEEN POLICE INVESTIGATE AN EARLY MORNING FATALITY
Killeen, TX (July 6, 2024): Killeen Police are investigating the death of a 31-year-old male involved in a single car crash.
On July 6, 2024, around 3:57 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 5600 block of E Central Texas Expressway regarding a single-vehicle crash. The preliminary investigation indicates that a red Pontiac sedan was traveling at high speed when it veered off the roadway. The vehicle rolled several times before coming to a stop. Tragically, the driver did not survive the accident, and Justice of the Peace Gregory Johnson pronounced the estimated time of death at 4:05 a.m.
The name of the driver has been withheld pending notification of next of kin.
The Killeen Police Traffic Unit continue to investigation this fatality and at this time no other information will be released.

NEWS RELEASE: KILLEEN POLICE INVESTIGATE A FATAL MOTORCYCLE CRASH
Killeen, TX (July 1, 2024): Investigators with the Killeen Police Department Traffic Unit are investigating the fatal crash of a 39-year-old male.
On Sunday, June 30, 2024, at approximately 11:36 p.m., officers were dispatched to the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr Blvd. and Hackberry Drive in reference to a vehicle crash involving a motorcycle.
The preliminary investigation revealed that a 2014 GMC cargo van was traveling southbound on MLK and was turning left onto Hackberry Drive, when a 2017 Suzuki motorcycle, occupied by two, traveling northbound on MLK, struck the cargo van at a very high rate of speed.
The operator of the motorcycle unfortunately succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene by Justice of the Peace Nicola James at 11:51 p.m. The passenger, a 27-year-old male, was transported by Killeen Fire Department ambulance to Baylor Scott and White Hospital in critical condition.
No other injuries were reported.
The motorcycle operator was not wearing a helmet, the passenger was wearing a helmet.
The name of the deceased has been withheld pending next of kin notification.
The Killeen Police Department Traffic Unit continues to investigate this fatal crash and there is no further information at this time.

The Killeen Police Department Arrest Suspect in an Aggravated Robbery of a Business.
Killeen, TX (June 28th, 2024) On June 25th, 2024, around 2:48PM, the Killeen Police Department responded to an Aggravated Robbery at a business in the 900 block of S Ft Hood St. It was reported a black male wearing a black shirt with a “Rick and Morty” logo came in with two handguns and pointed them at the employee and demanded money. The suspect put the money in a blue bag and then demanded cigarettes and liquor before fleeing the business on foot.
Killeen Police Patrol Officers, K9, Community Engagement Unit (CEU), Violent Crimes Action Team (VCAT), and Organized Crime Unit saturated the area and located a black male with a “Rick and Morty” shirt and a blue bag walking in the area of the robbery and they initiated a contact with him. The male dropped the blue bag after grabbing something out of it and took off running on foot. Officers were able to catch the suspect and place him under arrest. In the blue bag the suspect dropped, was stolen property from the business. Two guns were located along the path the suspect ran.
The suspect was interviewed by Detectives with the Robbery/Homicide Unit and confessed to committing the robbery.
This robbery case was reviewed by the Bell County District Attorney’s Office and they issued a Complaint for Aggravated Robbery on Shaquille Ahmad Willis. Bell County Associate District Judge Randy Dale arraigned Willis and issued him a $100,000 bond. Willis was transferred to the Bell County Jail.
The investigation is ongoing and there is no additional information at this time.
Killeen Police Identifies Shooting Victim
Killeen, TX (June 17, 2024): Detectives with the Criminal Investigation Division have identified the victim as 53-year-old Nicole Isabell Gairey.
Detectives continue to investigate this shooting and there is no additional information at this time.

NEWS RELEASE: KILLEEN POLICE INVESTIGATE A LATE-NIGHT SHOOTING
Killeen, TX (June 13, 2024): On Thursday, June 13, 2024, at approximately 12:25 a.m., Killeen Police Officers responded to the 2800 block of Tucker Drive in reference to a shooting victim. Upon the officers’ arrival, along with Killeen EMS, they located a female victim outside of a residence suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim succumbed to her injuries and Justice of the Peace Nicola James pronounced the estimated time of death at 12:30 a.m. at the scene.
The name of the victim has been withheld pending notification of next of kin.
A 27-year-old male at the residence was placed under arrest and transported to the Killeen City Jail.
There is no threat to the community related to this incident.
Detectives with the Robbery-Homicide Unit are actively investigating this Homicide and there is no additional information at this time.

Killeen Police Department Makes Arrest in Family Dollar Robbery
Killeen, TX (June 7th, 2024): On Wednesday, May 29th, 2024, around 10:00AM, Officers were dispatched to the Family Dollar located in the 2300 block of W Stan Schlueter Loop in reference to a report of a robbery. When they arrived, the victim stated that a male entered the store, pointed a firearm at them, and demanded money from the safe. The suspect then fled from the business.
The Killeen Police Department Patrol Division along with the CID Robbery/Homicide Unit responded to the area an obtained evidence and surveillance video. Images of the suspect were released to the public on May 29th, 2024.
The Killeen Police Department Robbery/Homicide Unit identified a suspect in this case. On June 4th, 2024, a search warrant was conducted on the residence of the suspect, who fled out the back door upon police arrival. With assistance from the Violent Crimes Action Team (VCAT), K9 Unit, and a KPD Patrol Drone, the male was apprehended after he jumped the fence into a neighbor’s yard. Evidence from the robbery was located inside the suspect residence. The male was transported to the Killeen City Jail on 15 unrelated City of Killeen Municipal Court Arrest Warrants. The robbery case was reviewed by the Bell County District Attorney’s Office, and they issued a Complaint and Affidavit for Robbery on 32-year-old Ronald Truman Conway. Conway was arraigned by Judge Randy Dale who issued a bond of $75,000. Conway was transferred to the Bell County Jail.

Killeen Police Make Multiple Arrests for Aggravated Kidnapping and Aggravated Assault after Men Targeted for Using an Online Dating App.
Killeen, TX (June 5th, 2024): A 17-year-old male is currently in Bell County Jail for Aggravated Robbery and Aggravated Kidnapping. Two 16-year-old males and one 15-year-old male were also arrested and transported to the Juvenile Detention Center.
On June 2nd, 2024, around 2:02AM, a Killeen Police Officer was conducting an area check in the area of Hallmark Ave and Wolf St. He observed multiple males in the middle of the street and one male franticly waved the officer down as the other males fled the scene, with three running from the area and the 17-year-old male trying to enter a house before he was stopped by the officer. The 17-year-old male was pulling a mask off of his head as he walked away from the officer.
The victim advised he was using a dating app called Grindr to meet other men and was lured to an address nearby. The victim advised he was confronted by four unknown males with shotguns and handguns who demanded some of his property. The suspects then struck the victim with at least one of the guns and walked him to his own car and said they were going to take him somewhere. The victim advised this is when he observed the officer in the area and waved him down.
Multiple officers responded to the area. A Police K9 and a Drone were utilized, and the three juveniles were located hiding inside a storage shed with a handgun and a bb gun that looked like a shotgun.
The case was reviewed by the Bell County District Attorney’s Office and a complaint was issued charging Dusty Andrew Bailey Jr with Aggravated Kidnapping and Aggravated Robbery. Judge Randy Dale arraigned Bailey and set his bond for each charge at $300,000 for a total of $600,000. The three juveniles were also taken to the Bell County Juvenile Detention Center and charged with Aggravated Kidnapping and Aggravated Robbery. The juveniles’ names will not be released.
The Killeen Police Department Robbery/Homicide Unit is investigating other similar incidents in the same area. We ask anyone who has not reported a similar incident, to please contact the Killeen Police Department and report it.
