The Killeen Police Department General Investigations Unit is asking for your help identifying multiple suspects in a Robbery Attempt.
Killeen, TX (April 4th, 2024): On April 2nd, 2024, around 6:34PM, the Killeen Police Department responded to a shooting at a residence in the 1300 block of Dugger Cir. It was reported two (2) males knocked on the victim’s door and demanded property. The victim refused to allow the suspects in and closed the door. One of the suspects fired a gun into the door and both suspects fled the scene on foot. No injuries were reported.
Suspect 1: Black Male, heavy-set, darker skin complexion, wearing a gray in color hooded sweatshirt. Gray, black, and white camouflage pants, white Crocs with no socks, and a black face mask over lower portion of face. Suspect 1 appeared to be holding a black in color semi-automatic handgun.
Suspect 2: B/M, slender build, wearing black sweatpants, light colored (white or pink) hooded sweatshirt, black shoes.

Killeen Police Identifies Murder Victim
Killeen, TX (February 20, 2024): Detectives with the Criminal Investigation Division Robbery-Homicide Unit have identified the victim as 28-year-old Larry Kidd Jr. He was shot during an altercation where the suspect brandished a 9mm pistol in the 900 block of W. Central Texas Expressway on Saturday, February 17, 2024.
The case has been referred to the Bell County Grand Jury and the name will not be released until formal charges are returned.
This investigation is ongoing and there is no additional information at this time.

NEWS RELEASE: KILLEEN POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING SECOND MURDER of 2024
Killeen, TX (February 18, 2024) A 28-year-old male is deceased after being shot outside of a business located in the 900 block of W. Central Texas Expressway.
The Killeen Police Department was dispatched on Saturday February 17, 2024, at approximately 8:05 p.m., in reference to a 911 call about a shooting victim. Upon the officers’ arrival, they located a male victim suffering from several gunshot wounds. Officers started to perform life saving measures until paramedics arrived. The victim was transported to the Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at 8:39 p.m. by Justice of the Peace Gregory Johnson. He ordered an autopsy to be performed at the Southwest Institute of Forensic Science in Dallas.
The name of the victim has been withheld pending notification of next of kin.
One person was taken into custody.
This is an isolated incident and there was no further threat to the community.

Killeen Police make an arrest in a 2022 Murder Case
Killeen, TX (January 26, 2024): A 38-year-old male is currently in jail for the Murder of Joe Sidney Williams.
On June 24, 2022, Officers were dispatched at approximately 2:50 a.m. to the 1800 block of N. 4th Street in reference to a gunshot victim. Upon the officers’ arrival, they located 55-year-old Joe Sidney Williams suffering from a gunshot wound, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
On January 19, 2024, Detectives with the Criminal Investigation Division Robbery-Homicide Unit received a complaint for Murder charging Demetris Tyrone Prier, to which Justice of the Peace Gregory Johnson issued an arrest warrant for. Prier was located in the Bell County Jail on unrelated charges. Justice of the Peace Keith Reed arraigned Prier and set his bond at $500,000.

NEWS RELEASE: KILLEEN POLICE INVESTIGATE THE FIFTEENTH MURDER FOR 2022
Killeen, TX (October 6, 2022): Killeen Police are actively investigating the Murder of a 55-year-old male.
On June 24, 2022, Officers with the Killeen Police Department were dispatched at approximately 2:50 a.m. to the 1800 block of N. 4th Street in reference to a gunshot victim. Upon the officers’ arrival, they located one victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers immediately started to perform life saving measures until paramedics arrived. He was transported to Baylor Scott and White in Temple.
The victim, Joe Sidney Williams Junior succumbed to his injuries on August 3, 2022, and was pronounced deceased at the hospital by Justice of the Peace Theodore Duffield. He ordered an autopsy to be performed at the Southwestern Institute of Forensic Sciences in Dallas.
Detectives with the Robbery-Homicide Unit received the final autopsy, and it was determined that the death of the victim was ruled Murder.

Killeen Police Arrest Suspect After Fleeing in Vehicle
Killeen, TX (December 22, 2023): On Wednesday, December 20, 2023, officers conducted a traffic stop on a Blue Nissan Sedan for a traffic violation in the area of Rancier Avenue and 10th Street. When officers approached the vehicle, the driver sped off and a pursuit ensued.
The suspect driver continued to travel towards Hallmark Avenue at a high rate of speed, disregarding stops signs and other vehicles in the roadway. When the driver came to a stop in the 200 block of Bryce Avenue, he exited the vehicle and fled on foot. Officers gave chase and were able to apprehend and arrest the suspect.
Officers located a handgun in a nearby shed and $1106.00 on the suspect. The suspect driver was transported to the Killeen City.
The investigation is ongoing and at this time no other information will be released.

Killeen Police Arrest Male Driver in Fatal Crash on Robinett
Killeen, TX (December 19, 2023): Investigators with the Traffic Unit charge and arrest a 24-year-old male with Intoxication Manslaughter. On April 7, 2023, officers responded to a multiple-vehicle crash where several people were injured and one succumbed to his injuries.
On November 9, 2023, the case was presented to the Bell County District Attorney’s Office and a complaint was returned charging Jarian Webster Isby with Intoxication Manslaughter with a Vehicle. Justice of the Peace Nicola James issued a warrant for his arrest.
Information was received that Isby had left the state and was believed to be in Illinois. On December 19, at 8:50 a.m., Isby was located and arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force Illinois Division. Isby is awaiting extradition to Bell County.
We would like to thank the U.S. Marshals Service-Lone Star Fugitive Task Force Waco Division for assisting us in the apprehension of Isby.

Killeen, TX (April 11, 2023): Investigators with the Traffic Unit have identified the victim as Donald Daniel Eagen.
Investigators are actively investigating this crash fatality and there is no additional information at this time.

NEWS RELEASE: KILLEEN POLICE INVESTIGATES A FATALITY ON ROBINETT
Killeen, TX (April 8, 2023): A 45-year-old is deceased from a multiple-vehicle collision.
On Friday, April 7, 2023, at approximately 8:58 p.m., officers were dispatched to the intersection of Robinett Road and Gus Drive in reference to a 911 call about crash involving multiple vehicles. Upon the officers’ arrival, they located an unconscious male passenger in a red sedan. Justice of the Peace Gregory Johnson pronounced him deceased at 10:06 p.m. at the scene.
The preliminary investigation revealed that four vehicles were involved in a collision while traveling southbound on Robinett Road and one vehicle of those vehicles came to rest after it struck a nearby residence. Speed and weather are potential contributing factors for this crash.
Four victims were transported to Baylor Scott & White in Temple, one victim was transported to Advent Health and one to Seton Medical Center Harker Heights all in stable condition.
The name of the deceased male has been withheld pending notification of next of kin.
This fatality investigation is active and at this time no other information will be released.

UPDATE NEWS RELEASE: DETECTIVES ARREST TWO PEOPLE FOR A 2014 MURDER CASE
Killeen, TX (December 19, 2023): Two people are in custody for the death of Sung Jin Farris. Farris was found suffering from a gunshot wound on Wednesday, April 20, 2014, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Detectives with the Criminal Investigation Division Robbery-Homicide presented the case to the Bell County District Attorney’s Office and two complaints were returned charging Johnathan Shaw Allen Holmes, 36, and Zykeshalla Tyree Murphy, 32, with Murder. Justice of the Peace Gregory Johnson issued warrants for their arrest.
On Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at approximately 7:30 a.m., Murphy was located and arrested at approximately 7:30 a.m. in Ashland, OH by the U.S. Marshals Service Northern Ohio Fugitive Task Force. Holmes was located and arrested in Belton, TX by the U.S. Marshals Service Lone Star Fugitive Task Force at approximately 8:30 a.m.
The investigation is ongoing and at this time no other information will be released.

Killeen Police are investigating an early morning shooting on Wolf St.
Officers responded to 302 Wolf St. at 2:09 a.m. on Wednesday, April 30, 2014, in reference to a drive by shooting. Upon their arrival, officers located a 36-year-old male suffering from gunshot wounds to his chest. The victim was immediately transported to the Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased by medical personnel at 2:47 a.m. Justice of the Peace Garland Potvin ordered an autopsy to be performed at the Southwestern Institute of Forensic Sciences in Dallas.
The name of the victim has been withheld pending notification of his next kin. Detectives with the Criminal Investigation Division continue to process the scene at this time. This case continues to be investigated and more information will be released as it become available.

Killeen Police Organized Crime Unit Seize Narcotics and Arrest Seven People
Killeen, TX (October 24, 2023): On Thursday, October 19, 2023, detectives with the Special Investigation Division, conducted a special detail at the Venom Vape/Sweep Stakes located at 1518 S. Fort Hood Street due to crime and narcotic complaints. During the operation, officers arrested seven individuals for Possession of Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 (under 1 gram), Possession of Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 (over 1 gram under 4) Fail to Identify Fugitive, Fail to ID, Walking in the Roadway, Resisting Arrest, Search or Transport, and Felony Warrant for Debit Card Abuse.
On Friday, October 20, 2023, detectives conducted an inspection, with the assistance of the Killeen Fire Marshals, Killeen Code Enforcement, and Killeen Building Inspectors. During the inspection, illegal narcotics were displayed inside the business. A narcotics search warrant was executed, and detectives seized 120 grams of THC products, 56 grams of marijuana, 8 electronic gambling devices (computer towers), 6 gambling ledgers, gambling paraphernalia, and $36,117.00 in US currency.
The investigation into the illegal gambling is ongoing and at this time no other information will be released.

This platform integrates sensors, cameras, and other data sources into a unified, user-friendly interface. Its advanced features allow for rapid detection and response to potential security threats, ensuring a swift and effective response from the Killeen Police Department.
Key features of the Fusus technology include:
- Incident-Based Monitoring: Officers will be able to receive actionable intelligence from Fusus when dispatched to an incident.
- Collaborative Response: Fusus facilitates seamless communication and information sharing among law enforcement agencies, first responders, and our community’s security personnel. This open platform helps facilitate community ownership of public safety and precision policing, ultimately bringing the city of Killeen into the future of public safety.
- Community Tipline: Community members can easily text a publicly available number to law enforcement without needing an app. This data is automatically stored in a cloud-based vault, as is all other data pertinent to investigations.
- Privacy Protection: Fusus technology is designed with stringent privacy safeguards to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and protect individuals’ rights. Moreover, community members registering their private camera feeds with their respective agencies can determine how much they share.
- Future-proof: The Fusus platform allows agencies to integrate their existing infrastructure while considering that their infrastructure may change over time. Fusus users are not forced into overhauling any hardware or purchasing specific cameras to use the platform, for example.
- Intelligent Analysis: The platform employs advanced analytics and artificial intelligence algorithms to identify unusual patterns, behaviors, and object detection, providing an extra layer of security.
