UPDATE NEWS RELEASE: KILLEEN POLICE CHARGES 24-YEAR-OLD MALE WITH BURGLARY OF MOTOR VEHICLE
Killeen, TX (September 15th, 2024): On August 30th, 2024, Detectives with the Criminal Investigation Division identified a suspect and obtained an Arrest Warrant charging 24-Year-Old Dimani Phillip Gaddis with Burglary of a Motor Vehicle. An arrest warrant was issued by Justice of the Peace Nicola James.
Gaddis was arrested on August 30th, 2024, by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force of the U.S. Marshal’s office and taken to the Killeen City Jail. Justice of the Peace Cliff Coleman arraigned Gaddis and set his bond at $5,000. Gaddis was transported to the Bell County Jail.

Killeen, TX (August 27, 2024): Detectives with the Robbery/Homicide Unit would like to speak with a person seen burglarizing multiple vehicles in the area of a Murder on August 25th, 2024.
On August 25th, 2024, Officers took multiple Burglary of Motor Vehicle reports in the areas of Old FM 440 and Andover Dr. Officers obtained videos of a male burglarizing vehicles in the area of the murder while holding a handgun.
The male appears to be a Hispanic Male with black hair, shaved on the sides by the ears down the shoulders in the back. He is seen wearing a gray color shirt with a white pattern, possibly a bird, on the front. The male is wearing a black pants and white shoes. The male appears to have tattoos on both arms.
Subsequently, on Sunday, August 25th, 2024, around 4:33 a.m., Killeen Police Officers responded to the 2300 block of Andover Dr. in reference to a shots fired call. While in route, dispatchers informed officers of an accident that occurred in the 1000 block of Westover Dr. Upon the officers’ arrival, they located an unconscious female victim inside a crashed vehicle suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The female succumbed to her injuries on scene.
Detectives with the Robbery/Homicide Unit are asking anyone who may have information on the male, or if they have videos or security footage of these areas, to contact the Criminal Investigation Division at 254-501-8830.
