Killeen Police Investigate an Early Morning Robbery

Killeen, TX (March 11, 2026): The Killeen Police Department is investigating an aggravated robbery and shooting that occurred early Tuesday morning in the parking lot of a convenience store in the 1600 block of North Roy Reynolds Drive.

On Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at approximately 4:00 a.m., officers were dispatched to a report of a fight in progress involving a firearm. Upon arrival, officers observed two adult males on the ground engaged in a physical struggle. One of the individuals had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Officers immediately rendered medical aid and secured the second individual involved.

The shooting victim, a 33-year-old male, was transported by emergency medical services to a local hospital, where he is currently receiving treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect was arrested at the scene and transported to the Killeen City Jail.

Detectives with the Criminal Investigation Division responded to the scene and continue to gather evidence, review available surveillance video, and interview witnesses. Preliminary information indicates the suspect confronted the victim at gunpoint outside the business and demanded money, which led to a physical altercation during which the firearm discharged multiple times.

This remains an active investigation. Additional charges may be filed as evidence is processed and reviewed.
