Killeen Police Arrest Two People Involved in Crash on Interstate 14

Killeen, TX (December 11, 2025) – UPDATE: Through the ongoing investigation, officers determined that there were four occupants inside the Mustang at the time of the crash. Evidence showed that immediately after the crash, the driver, a 20-year-old-male and one of the rear passengers, a 18-year-old female, switched seats and falsely reported to officers that the female had been driving.

As part of the investigation, officers were able to verify the actual seating positions of all occupants and confirm the deception. During these follow-up efforts, officers received complaints related to the incident. The male driver was charged with False Report to a Peace Officer and Driving While License Invalid-Subsequent and the female passenger was charged with False Report to a Peace Officer. Both individuals are currently in the Killeen City Jail awaiting arraignment.

The motorcyclist remains in critical condition.

The Killeen Police Department Traffic Unit continues to investigate this crash. No further information is available at this time.

NEWS RELEASE: KILLEEN POLICE INVESTIGATE MOTORCYCLE CRASH ON INTERSTATE 14


Killeen, TX (December 10, 2025): A 41-year-old male motorcyclist is in critical but stable condition following a crash involving a vehicle

On December 9, 2025, at approximately 2:01 p.m., officers were dispatched to Interstate 14 regarding a crash involving a motorcycle. Upon arrival, officers located the motorcycle operator lying in the roadway. He was immediately airlifted to Baylor Scott & White Hospital in critical but stable condition.

The preliminary investigation indicates that a Suzuki motorcycle and a Ford Mustang were both traveling eastbound on I-14 at high rates of speed. Witnesses reported the motorcycle was weaving in and out of traffic and passing vehicles between lanes. At the time of the crash, the Mustang was moving into the inside lane from the center lane after passing another vehicle. The motorcycle was reportedly passing the same uninvolved vehicle between the lanes when the two involved vehicles sideswiped one another, causing the motorcycle to lose control and crash.

No injuries were reported from the Mustang.

All eastbound lanes of Interstate 14 were closed for approximately two hours.

Killeen Police Investigate Motorcycle Crash on Interstate 14

Killeen Police Investigate a Fatal Single-Vehicle Crash

On Thursday, December 4, 2025, at approximately 4:33 p.m., officers responded to the 4800 block of E. Rancier Avenue for a single-vehicle crash. They arrived to find the vehicle off the roadway and on fire. The Killeen Fire Department extinguished the fire while paramedics treated the driver.

The preliminary investigation shows a gray Infiniti SUV was traveling eastbound at a very high speed when it left the roadway, entered a drainage culvert, and went airborne. The vehicle struck the ground near a tree line, continued forward, ran over several trees, and became airborne a second time. The driver was ejected when the vehicle came to rest on the opposite side of the tree line, where it caught fire. No other occupants were in the vehicle.

Despite life-saving efforts by KFD paramedics, the male driver was pronounced deceased at the scene by Justice of the Peace Gregory Johnson at 5:47 p.m.

The name of the victim has been withheld pending notification of next of kin.
