Killeen Police Identifies Murder Victim

Killeen, TX (February 6, 2024): Detectives with the Criminal Investigation Division have identified the victim as Nathaniel Sims.

NEWS RELEASE: KILLEEN POLICE INVESTIGATE THE FIRST MURDER OF 2024

Killeen, TX (February 3, 2024): On Friday, February 2, 2024, at approximately 1:31 p.m., Killeen Police Officers were dispatched to the Hallmark Inn located at 4500 E. Central Texas Expressway in reference to a person not breathing. Upon the officer’s arrival they located a 70-year-old male in a room deceased with injuries. Justice of the Peace Gregory Johnson pronounced the male deceased at 2:55 p.m. and ordered an autopsy.

The name of the male has been withheld pending notification of next of kin.
